This Summer Will Be Different
Lucy is a curious traveler spending her vacation at a charming beach house on Prince Edward Island. Felix, the friendly local, offers her an unforgettable experience. The catch? Lucy is unaware that he’s actually her best friend’s younger brother. The undeniable chemistry between Lucy and Felix is electric, but the reasons to keep their distance are numerous, and they both swear never to relive that passionate night again.
Yet, it’s easier said than done.
Every year, Lucy retreats to PEI to breathe in the fresh coastal air, indulge in delicious oysters, and sip on crisp vinho verde alongside her best friend, Bridget. Each visit kicks off with a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, beneath towering red cliffs and under a warm, golden sun. And each time, Lucy vows to herself that she won’t end up in Felix’s bed – again.

I stayed up wayyy too late reading this one! It sucked me in, and I just couldn’t put it down. The setting of Prince Edward Island in Canada worked perfect for this book.
The author did a great job bringing the setting to life and making you feel like you were there. I loved the fact that Felix’s character was a big reader, that brought his likable factor way up for me. Felix and Lucy’s off-limits relationship and the way it unraveled and was told was entertaining and fun. The only thing I didn’t love was Bridget keeping her “Secret” from Lucy and the secret was a letdown too, it was nothing big like the you thought it was going to be. Other than that, I loved everything about this book!! Add this one to your summer reading bucket list! 🙂

I laughed and cried! I loved this book as much as Every Summer After, which I adored! The chemistry between Lucy and Felix is off the charts!!! The loyal friendship between Lucy and Brigitte is so sweet. This is such a great feel good story that kept pulling me along that I couldn’t put it down. I will read this one again and again. A true beach read book. AJ Breidel is amazing as always and brought the characters to life!

Lots of mispronouncing of words and sounding uninterested at times in the story. I’m shocked that this could be the author reading her own story. The story was ok. I agree that the way the lead behaved was immature and all of Bridget’s drama was way over the top for what actually ended up being the issue.
