Dear Debbie

Sometimes, there comes a point when enough truly is enough… Debbie Mullen finds herself on the edge. For years, she’s poured her wisdom into her beloved column, Dear Debbie, a trusted refuge for wives across New England seeking comfort and neighborly counsel. Through her writing, Debbie has encountered countless women suffering in silence—ignored, demeaned, or even subjected to abuse by their husbands. She’s dedicated herself to guiding them toward the right path.
Or at least, she once believed she was.
But now, Debbie’s world is unraveling. She’s just lost her job, her teenage daughters are acting out in unexpected ways, and her husband’s secrets are surfacing—thanks to a tracking app she installed on his phone. Frustration and anger boil over. Debbie is done playing the patient, reasonable woman. It’s time to heed her own advice.
And it’s time for revenge, targeting those who have wronged her the most.

Freida is a hit or miss author for me, and finally I was blown away. Debbie was smart and devious, but her motivation made sense so I found myself following her slightly off-kilter moral compass. As ever, the pace was fast, there was a twist that I actually found interesting and justice was served.

5⭐️- What in the Desperate Housewives meets unfiltered female rage did I just read?! 😳🔥🍷 Because WOW.
I can confidently say this is Freida McFadden’s best book to date 🏆📚✨ I finished it in one sitting because putting it down was simply not an option
The writing is addictive, sharp, and relentless 💉✍️⚡ Debbie as a character is completely unhinged but somehow grounded enough to feel disturbingly real 😈🧠👀 A menace. An icon. A walking red flag 🚩💅🔥
And the twists. THE TWISTS. Some of Freida’s more recent books played it a little safe, but not this one 😌🔪 🪤 You will NEVER see them coming. 🌀😱

This is such a good book! It was so entertaining that I could not put it down. It was like a modern day “Serial Mom”, (the Jon Waters movie), but still very original! A dark comedy about a very intelligent housewife who starts to unravel, with a twist at the end! Very funny! I can totally picture it being turned into a movie!
